Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Qlozd collects, why, where it goes and how to get it deleted. We've tried to write it so you can actually read it.

Effective date: 23 October 2026

1. Who we are

Qlozd is a digital-wardrobe app for iOS and Android. It is operated by Marpi FZC LLC, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.

Privacy questions and requests: rokasj+qlozd@gmail.com.

2. The short version

  • Background removal (the cutout) runs on your phone. No photo is sent to a server to make the cutout.
  • Your wardrobe (cutouts, a resized copy of each original photo, thumbnails and the details you add) is stored in your account on Supabase servers in Frankfurt, Germany.
  • AI tagging and outfit suggestions send cutout images and wardrobe details to Anthropic only after you say yes in the app. Anthropic does not use your data to train its models.
  • You can use Qlozd without giving us your name or email. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and exists so your wardrobe can be backed up and restored.
  • Payments are handled by Apple and Google. We never see your card details.
  • We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't share your wardrobe with advertisers.
  • You can delete everything from inside the app in a few taps. See section 11.

3. What we collect

CategoryWhat it includesSource

If you choose to sign in, your Apple or Google account identifier, your email address (or Apple's private relay address if you hide your email) and your name, where your provider shares it. Generated by us; Apple or Google
Purchase and entitlement data Whether you have an active subscription or trial; the plan; the store (App Store or Google Play); store country; trial, renewal and expiry dates; an anonymous RevenueCat identifier; a store transaction identifier. What we don't collect. Precise location (the weather used for outfits is chosen by you, not detected), your contacts, advertising identifiers, or browsing data. The app contains no advertising or tracking SDKs.

4. Why we use it, and the legal bases

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we need a legal basis for each use of your data. These are ours.

Complying with law, including tax and accounting rules and lawful requests Purchase records, account Legal obligation

We don't use your data for automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects, and we don't use it for advertising.

5. On-device processing

Background removal runs entirely on your phone, using Apple Vision on iOS and Google ML Kit on Android. Your original photo is not uploaded to us or to anyone else to make the cutout.

Once the cutout exists, the app saves the cutout, a thumbnail and a resized copy of the original photo to your account's private storage so your wardrobe is backed up and syncs between your devices. If a cutout fails, you can retry it on your device or keep the original photo without a cutout.

If you try the cutout on one of your own photos during onboarding, that photo is processed on your device as a demonstration and is not saved.

6. AI processing with your consent

Some features use Claude, a model made by Anthropic. The first time you add an item, Qlozd asks whether you want AI tagging and styling. Nothing is sent to Anthropic before you answer.

If you allow it:

  • When you add an item, the cutout image is sent to Anthropic, through our server, to suggest a name, category, colours and tags. You can edit or remove any of them.
  • When you ask for outfits or a packing list, your wardrobe details (item names, categories, colours and tags) together with the occasion, weather and any notes you enter are sent to Anthropic to generate suggestions and a short explanation of each.

Anthropic processes this data on our behalf, under its commercial terms, and does not use it to train its models. Requests pass through our servers in Frankfurt and are then sent to Anthropic in the United States (see section 8). We don't send your name, email address or account identifier to Anthropic.

If you decline, every feature still works: you name and tag items yourself and build outfits by hand. You can change your choice at any time from the You tab in the app, or by emailing us. Withdrawing consent stops future processing; tags already suggested stay until you edit or delete them.

AI output is generated automatically and can be wrong. Treat it as a suggestion.

7. Who we share data with

We use a small number of service providers to run Qlozd. They act on our instructions under data-processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.

ProviderWhat they do for usWhere
Supabase, Inc. Database, file storage, authentication and server functions. Your wardrobe lives here. Privacy policy Frankfurt, Germany (EU)
Anthropic, PBC AI tagging and outfit and packing suggestions (Claude), only with your in-app consent. Your data is not used to train models. Privacy policy United States
RevenueCat, Inc. Subscription management: validates store receipts and tells the app whether your subscription is active. Privacy policy United States
Apple Inc. (App Store) and Google LLC (Google Play) App distribution, payments, subscription billing and refunds, optional sign-in, and crash reports if you have enabled sharing. Apple · Google Depends on your store account region
Expo (650 Industries, Inc.) Build and over-the-air update services for the app. When the app checks for an update it sends your IP address and basic device and app-version information, never your wardrobe. Privacy policy United States
Cloudflare, Inc. Hosts this website. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type) are used for security and performance. Privacy policy Global network

We don't sell personal data and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers. We may disclose data if the law requires it, to protect our users or our rights, or as part of a merger or acquisition, in which case this policy would continue to apply and we would tell you before anything changed.

8. International transfers

Your wardrobe is stored in the European Union. Anthropic and RevenueCat process data in the United States. For transfers out of the EU/EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, with the UK Addendum where relevant, and, where the provider is certified, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Apple and Google transfer data under the safeguards described in their own policies.

9. How long we keep it

  • Wardrobe, photos, account and preferences: for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, or ask us to, this data is deleted within 30 days. Copies in encrypted backups are purged within a further 30 days.
  • Purchase and entitlement data: for the life of your subscription and afterwards for as long as accounting, tax and dispute-handling rules require. It is tied to an anonymous identifier, not to your name.
  • Product analytics: linked to your account identifier while the account exists; on deletion the events are deleted or dissociated so they no longer identify you. Aggregated statistics that cannot identify anyone are kept.
  • Support correspondence: up to 24 months after the last message, or longer if needed to resolve a dispute.
  • Server and security logs: up to 30 days.
  • Inactive anonymous accounts: if you never sign in and stop using Qlozd, we may delete the anonymous account and its data after 12 months of inactivity.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you have some or all of the following rights. We honour them for everyone, wherever you are.

  • Access: ask what personal data we hold about you and get a copy.
  • Rectification: correct inaccurate data. Most of your data you can edit directly in the app.
  • Deletion: delete your account and data. See section 11.
  • Portability: receive your data in a machine-readable format. You tab›Export my data gives you a JSON file of your pieces, outfits and wear log at any time; email us if you also need copies of your images.
  • Objection and restriction: object to processing based on our legitimate interests, including analytics, or ask us to restrict it.
  • Withdraw consent: switch off AI processing at any time in the app. This doesn't affect processing that already happened.
  • Complain: lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. We'd appreciate the chance to help first.

California and other US state privacy laws

If you are a resident of California or another US state with a consumer privacy law, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it, to delete it, to correct it, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of. We don't use sensitive personal information for anything other than providing the service you asked for. You may use an authorised agent to make a request; we'll need to verify the request before acting on it.

How to exercise your rights

Deletion and export are built into the app. For anything else, email rokasj+qlozd@gmail.com. We respond within one month, or within the period required by the law that applies to you. To protect your data we may ask you to verify the request, for example by emailing from the address linked to your account or by confirming from inside the app.

11. Delete your account and data

You can delete your Qlozd account and everything in it at any time, without asking us.

In the app

  1. Open the You tab.
  2. Tap Account. The row is labelled "Account & data", or "Sign in / link account" if you have never signed in.
  3. Under Delete account, type delete into the confirmation field.
  4. Tap Delete my account and confirm.

Deletion starts immediately and the app returns to the welcome screen.

By email

Email rokasj+qlozd@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my account", from the email address linked to your account. If your account was never linked to Apple or Google, say so and we'll walk you through confirming the request from the app, since there is no email address on the account for us to verify against. We complete email requests within 30 days.

What is deleted

  • Your wardrobe items, including cutouts, thumbnails and original photos.
  • Your outfits and their AI rationale, wear log, outfit calendar and packing lists.
  • Your onboarding answers and preferences, including your AI consent record.
  • Your profile, the link to your Apple or Google identity, and the account itself in our authentication system.
  • Product analytics events tied to your account identifier, which are deleted or dissociated.

Deletion is completed within 30 days. Copies in encrypted backups are purged within a further 30 days. Data cached on your phone is removed when you delete the app.

What survives

  • Store purchase records. Apple and Google keep your purchase history and receipts under their own policies; we can't delete those. Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. Cancel it in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings, otherwise the store will keep charging you.
  • Transaction records. Minimal subscription records (an anonymous identifier, the plan, dates and amounts) are kept by us and by RevenueCat for as long as accounting and tax law requires. They are not linked to your name or email.
  • Aggregated statistics that cannot identify you.
  • Support emails you have sent us, for the retention period in section 9.
  • Data already processed by Anthropic. We don't keep what was sent for a request once the response is back. Anthropic retains it only as its commercial terms allow and does not use it for training.

12. Children

Qlozd is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

13. Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Database access rules ensure each account can only read and write its own rows, and photos are kept in private storage that requires your account's credentials to access. Payment card data never touches our systems. Access to production systems is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

14. Changes to this policy

We'll post any changes on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect, and if a change would expand how we use your data we'll ask for your consent where the law requires it.
